Lactose

What is lactose?

With the production of cheese you are left with rennet en whey. Out of the whey is then lactose produced. After thickening, cristalizing, and heating the product is dried and ground to a homogeneous product.

What are the uses of lactose?

Lactose is espescially used in producing a so called ‘milk stout’, a specialty beer. Furthermore it is used in bakery products, snackfood, meat products, salad dressings and tastemakers.
